Visiting Addison

Lily finally got to hang out with her friend Addison. Addison was very interested in Lily's bow (Lily didn't know exactly what to think...her face says it all) So, we got rid of the bow:)

(Ms. Amanda, Asher wanted you to see his cool new outfit!)

Sorry for the the backwards post..start at the bottom

Four Christmases...well actually five!

Asher's favorite gift was his baseball glove, oops wrong hand Ash!

Lily is just learning to pull up. So BIG!

Christmas morning, did you notice the moving playing on TV?

There is nothing sweeter than a sleeping baby!

All the Weiss cousins, Owen, Asher, Karson, Lily and Hayden opened their matching pj's Christmas Eve. Thanks Grandma, they are sooo cute. Just as we snapped this picture, Papa Weiss came in the door saying he just saw Santa and his sleigh outside, poor Owen did a flip off of the chair and landed on his head because Asher was so excited he jumped up pushing Owen off of him. Lily almost went flying as well, but I got to her just in time. GOOD timing PAPA!

Grandma wasn't very happy with the mess!!!It was everywhere.

Then on Christmas eve, uncle TJ thought it was a good ideas to give the kids silly string...you can guess what happened.

By the end of the weekend Asher was so tired he feel asleep on the couch (notice the outfit...camo overalls over a tie dyed shirt-lovely)

We had an unexpected visit from Santa.

Nice pose with cousins Juni and Bryce, I guess Asher was hot, because he was too close to the fire?!?!

To keep the kiddos busy and out of trouble I made some baking clay and they made Christmas ornament and then painted them, my favorites were their hand prints (a great keepsake!)

We were SUPER busy this Christmas! Our first Christmas was with Grandma Mona and the Potter's (Bain's mother and his brother's family.) I fixed a turkey, yum yum. Then the next day we had Christmas number 2 with Grandpa Gary and Patsy (Bain's dad) and the Potter's. I fixed a pork loin, yum yum. We had a full house and a very busy weekend! Christmas Eve was Christmas number 3, the kids opened thier gifts from uncle Casey and Uncle TJ, they went over board this year, but the kids loved it! Then Santa came to our house(number 4), Asher and Lily opened their gifts at the crack of dawn. After that we went to my parents house where Santa had also made a stop(5).Yes five Christmases does seem a little excessive, but it was great to spend time with our family!

Daddy's Birthday

The big 29...Bain opened his presents then had to go to work:(But we met him later for some Mexican food and went to the Fayetteville Square, with Grandma Mona (Bain's mom), to look at the lights. Asher rode a camel and loved the reindeer:)

Lily's favorite hangout

So why is it that children always want to go where they are not supposed to go and play with things they are not supposed to play with? Lily wants to play with the firepace. In fact, she hangsout near it all the time. I guess children are no different than adults, we all sometimes want what we can't have.

All Aboard...The Christmas Train Ride

Asher and Connor are enjoying a HUGE cookie.
Asher is trying really had to look at the camera but the train is just too fascinating!

Asher, Connor and Audrey are waiting patiently to board the train. Lily stayed home with daddy...good thing because it was cold!

Christmas Cookies

Yes he is naked with frosting all over him...not very sanitary! We both need practice decorating cookies, maybe next time I will buy the frosting (it was a little runny). Can you guess which one Asher did all by himself?

Words that melt your heart!

So, just when I have had it up to my ears with Asher he will say something that totally melts my heart. (I just wanted to document some of the these words so that I can go back a read them when I need a word of encouragement.)

I had just gotten my hair trimmed...and Asher says, "Mom, you are a cutie...and you kinda look like a rock star."

"I am so lucky...because I have a mommy and daddy."

And the one I hear every night once he finally settles into to bed, "Mommy, I love you berry berry berry much!"

A new friend...

I am so glad Lily has taken an interest in Cabbage Patch Dolls, they were my favorite when I was a little girl. I can't wait until she is older and I can get all of mine out

Santa's Coming to Town

Asher asked Santa for a new pair of shoes...sounds like he is such a deprived child (the boy has more shoes than I do?!?)
Audrey (Connor's little sis) Connor and Asher are waiting patiently to sit on Santa's lap.

Christmas Tradition... for the past three years Asher and his buddy Connor (born 8 days after him) have gone to visit Santa together.

Clothes War 2008

As most of you know, I have had trouble getting Asher to wear clothes. We have a battle every morning:) This is a wonderful outfit that Asher actually likes to wear...Its okay you can laugh. Yes those are sandals.

First Camping Trip

Asher and his dad went on their first camping trip. They went with uncle Tristan and cousin Juni. Asher loved to mountain climb! Sleeping in the tent was apparently not so great.

Sports Illustrated Baby Swimsuit Edition

Once you taste real food there is no going back...

Thanks to two new teeth, Thanksgiving mashed potatos and Grandma's apple bread, Lily has no interest in baby food!!!

We had a very happy Thanksgiving:)

My parents usually put up the Christmas tree Thanksgiving Day, this year was extra special...the cousins were old enough to actually HELP. (the tree didn't look too bad)

First time at the BEACH

We took a road trip to Houston for a mini vacation (Bain's sister lives in Houston.) We went to the Galveston, it was the first time at the beach for both Asher and Lily. They both loved it! Asher was so excited to finally get to see the ocean! We also went to the Children's museum and the Houston Downtown Aquarium.
